Just fitted TCK80'S

HOLY CRAP
Just replaced the Tourances with TKC80's and oh my god. it's like riding on jelly moulds.
im used to off road tyres with my old KTM, but i never remembered them behaving like this. i can only assume they settle down with a few miles out on them
very interesting tipping into a bend, defiante arse/clench moments

if anyone uses these tyres can you let me know what to expect from them.
only fitted them as im off roading on thursday

Just ride the feckin thing and stop analising everything.

If you end up in the hedge,then that's the limit of them.

Great tyres!!! stick like sh*t to a blanket!! warm them up then give it some, after a few days you will love them. just take it easy when wet till you get used to them, Enjoy

lol, cheers for that Vern......... obviously i have only done 9 miles on them and it was the scariest 9 miles i have ever ridden in 22 years.
the guy put 42 in the rear and 36 in the front, not sure if thats too hard but i will give it a more open minded approach tomorrow
got to say they look the absolute bollox on the bike too

I fitted them to my 800gs. Same experience as you for the first 50 miles then fun fun fun!! They seems to turn in quicker but hold the line excellently.

I wondered on tyre pressure: anyone confirm whether for road riding 42 rear and 36 front is the norm?

33/34 front 35/36 rear give them anywhere between 30-100 miles from new depending on riding/conditions then just follow Vern's advice
Wouldn't use anything else on a GS personaly

Although, as you can see from my avatar, a C90 can prove a bit much for me at times so all advice can be safely ignored!

im currently looking at replacing my r1100gs tyres,i,m looking for something suitable for all year round use which holds the road well especially winter time,i had some off road tyres fitted to my dr600 clung well to the road,great in the ice but they only lasted 1000 miles if that,how well do these tck80,s old up,what mileage can i expect?cheers

Very good tyrs I was amazed doing research as to how far it could go before falling off and disent happen (not before hitting a truck anyway) even in the wet these are good. Last time I hused knopbblies was in the sixties on old trials bikes one degree out of vertical in the wet and oops!. Modern knobblies
brilliant just screw it and don't worry.

Yup, i have just completed 200 miles on a new set and tbh it was more a case of wearing my riding style in rather than the tyres, been up some forest tracks as well

I havn't ridden on knobblies since the 80's, doubt i'll go back to road tyres for the forseeable

Thanks - I will need to drop the pressures. I now have 500 miles on the set and the rear seems to have worn down quite a bit but only going from memory! I haven't been on much wet tarmac but should happen soon.

I tend to ride like a big girls blouse and even I like TKCs! In the dry there's no difference between them and normal tyres, just be a bit easier in the wet.
