I just had TKC 80's put on my 1200. Man the bike sure feels different on the road now, compared to Anakees that came off. I just had time tonight to drive around in a couple of vacant lots. But it wasn't enough to really feel the difference between the tires. One of the lots was all deep sand. I can say that I never got stuck or buried the tire in the sand.

I am a bit afraid to really lean the bike over now in the twisties. I am guessing that this normal and I will get a feel for the tires as I ride them more. The also does not feel as stable on the road.

One thing for sure, the Bike now looks a lot cooler.:D:clap:thumb2

Once you get used to them you'll probably like them. I too went from Anakees to TKCs, they make the steering very light on the 1200. Once you have about 500 mils on them they'll feel much better.

When you get used to them you'll be able to get them right over in the twisties too :thumb The trick is to stay relaxed and keep your weight off the bars.

Enjoy.

My experience on an 1100 was it felt like the bike didn't want to turn at first. That soon went and they felt normal after a few hundred miles.

Once accustomed to them in the dry you can throw the bike into corners just fine. Although they require a gentle hand in the wet they are still able to keep a fast pace in relation to normal traffic.
