Wasn't Ebike was it? I went there and got £151 for fully comp on my GS 12 and a 300cc scooter. Protected N/C and Euro cover. Recovery too, which might be handy. :(
That said, I'm er...middle aged. :D

£110 fully comp as of today from Elite Bike, with a NU easy rider policy, Ebike wanted £180 with more excess

So why do Ebike want more from a 45 year old who has never claimed, clean licence, than someone with two bikes on the policy

I did notice that Ebike now "recognise" the BMW fitted alarm. Small discount for that, but better than last year when they just said it made no difference.
I'm assuming that this is because it does not neccessarily auto arm???:nenau
FYI, I have one SP30, and I'm also 45. :D

Im paying 2300 euros approx GBP 1560 FOR A 1200GS with the cover only covering third party fire and theft up to a maximum of 8000 euros. The replacement cost of the bike is approx 17000 euros. Im still on a provisional license age 34 and living in dublin what a f...ing joke:mad:

I'll guess you've got this with Carole Nash. They were quoting crazy prices for the 1200GS, even though they were way cheaper in the 1150GS.

Could be worth your while cancelling and going to AON/AXA.

With them you can do a number of things to get a discount:
Do their AON/AXA assesment. It can get you up to 30% discount if you're provisional and you do well in the assesment(training storngly recommended). Contact Ogmios from the Ireland parish and he can give you great advice on the Assesment.

Join the BMW Club: 30Euro membership, but you get another 10% discount with AON (on top of the Assesment discount).

I was quoted a similar 2300 from Carole Nash, but am paying 1300 through AON with all the above discounts.

You have one other option if you have an AXA car poilcy you can get a 10% disount from them, but they don't accept the BMW club dixcount so it all balances.

BMW Ireland are starting to roll out their insurance. They expect to have competitive prices within 3 months, but nothing firm in known.
