Just posted this in the RT section but can anyone offer any ideas please?
Has anyone had any problems or issues with the engine revving of its own accord? i.e. no rider input.
Scenario...Today a rider has been on a job but the bike (65 plate RT) had to stay outside in torrential rain for 45 mins or so. Rider gets back on the bike and onto a dual carriageway and suddenly the bike violently accelerates without throttle input. Throttle then becomes unless. Clutch in as bike won't stop full acceleration and into the next lay-by. Turn bike off wait for it to shut down, then fire it up and it then idles initially, but then goes max revs, no revs, max revs, no revs and so on.
Any ideas??! the bike has been fine prior to today and used constantly in all weathers.
