And paid £236 fully comp with a £250 excess including 7yrs protected no-claims via BMW Insurance. Last year it was £201 and Carol Nash quoted £325.

Sound fair?

Just renewed my insurance for the HP2 and G450X with BMW. £98 fully comp for the pair. :)

9 Years protected no-claims and £250 excess. Haggled with them to get it down from £117 which was the renewal price. :thumb

My renewal a few weeks ago from Carole Nash was £282 for my 08 GS & 01 Fireblade, after looking round and getting lower quotes elsewhere, then getting back to CN they did it for £225 fully comp, protected NCB, and with a lower excess than originally. What really p****s me off is that this was with the same insurer as I was already with through CN, Equity Red Star

Anyway, like a previous poster says - don't take the first quote whatever you do. :beerjug:

£89 fully comp (protected) on an 02 1150 GS! :thumb2 That's with Bennetts too! I'm 41 if that makes any difference. Been riding since I was 16. Full no claims.

I'm about £200 with IAM Insurance.

31 years old.
5 years riding experience.
5 years NCB.

Unlimited mileage.
Business Class 1.
Pillion cover included.
Can ride other bikes 3rd party.

Not bad I thought!

Bennetts

04 gs, fully comp, protected no claims, in garage with approved lock, pillion cover, and business use £101.57

08 GSA kept on the driveway with a ground anchor in a low cost post code area. 58 years old full NCD with BMW...... £109.20 fully comp.

Not really sure where the much cheapness comes from. Age helps but I think the post code makes a big difference. I was once told in relation to my old suzuki that I would not get theft cover if I lived in Newcastle unless I fitted an approved alarm and immobiliser yet in my post code (PH1) fully comp. parked on the patio with no anchor was quite reasonable with Bennets

Just renewed mine with bmw (devitt)

08GSA garaged

Business commuting inc
40 years, riding for 15 years, no accidents, 250 excess
£160

Seems one of the few benefits of getting older is cheaper bike insurance!
