Just subscribed to give something back to the Forum members

I thought is was only right to subscribe to give something back to the forum, given I will certainly need a little help on my new bike 1200GS in the future, I know how much it costs to run websites, and leechers do eat the bandwidth up, so as of today I am not a leecher, and chuffed at all the forum help, just a few beers for a year, really well worth it in my opinion.

Running/Hosting Forums used to be a hobby, fun, Learning Curve, by Passionate people who were interested in the Forum Subject, and FREE with NO adverts, They actually cost very little to run, if you know what you are doing and willing to spend a few hours of your time, but now they are a business to make money for the people who host, and run them.
Many years ago I hosted and allowed others to host on my Servers FOC, I have no interest now though, and Yes I do actually pay for this one, many others I do not though.

All right lads, I get the story, someone is making some cash out of the forum, but if he or they did not somebdy esle would have, but at the end of the day for a few beers a year it saves me a lot of time and hassle learning about my new bike, even cheaper than a Haynes manual.

I'm not sure there's a great deal of money being made to be honest. This is one of the best biking sites around with someone always willing to give you the information or advice you need, and there's some very knowledgeable people on here. Unfortunately there are also some very un-knowledgeable people too, who's only contribution is to rip the piss or be inflamatory . Ignore them. Welcome aboard.
