Well after a dabble with an 1150 GSA SE that was great but broke down on the second day, I decided to go back to the WC and my dealer managed to locate a lowered suspension GSA Triple black just in time for my 50th birthday yesterday (only ordered it a week ago!). I have to say that I am the happiest bunny ever as the new bike is amazing. Last time I had a WC it was great but they didnt do the lowered version then (my2014) and I managed but it was a bit too big for me with a few buttock clenchers on dropping cambers etc, but this new lowered version fits me just perfectly and has made the riding experience so much better (well for me anyway at 5'10"). I have noticed a few things. The ride is smoother, the gear box is much better and the gear shift assist pro is brilliant. It is also a little bit quieter too. I have a few big ride outs planned for next week before I head back down to SA to work next weekend. Its nice to be back in the saddle. :beerjug:

Happy birthday and enjoy the GAS, they're cracking bikes.

Happy birthday mate 👍
I've had my lowered GSA for a few weeks now and absolutely love it.
I'm about 5"8 and suits me well.
Enjoy 👍

Happy birthday and glad you're enjoying your new bike.

I bought my Triple Black GSA for my 50th this year as well.

So nice to read a positive thread on here, so many negative comments....

Glad you love it and hope you get many miles and plenty of smiles as I do each and every day I ride my GSA LC

That was £7500 18k Chesterfield minter wasn't it

What was wrong with it, it shouldn't have broken down coming from a dealer should it??

The one in this thread

What went wrong?
Hey Jonnyboxer, yes that was the one. Unfortunately it was quite a few things. I had fixed up most of them but the next one was the dreaded servo that went. Which if I had paid 2.5k less I would have ben more than happy to remove and keep it, but The guy from the bike shop was great. He took it back no quibbles.

Shame as i really wanted to love the bike. For the one day that it did work it was a great bike.

Anyway back to a new one with BMW warranty.

Good result for you.

Servo abs is definitely not worth having

I have to say that they are fabulous in all conditions, either on my narrow winding lanes, the sort with grave in the central track, it squirrels away but still feels sure footed and the weight doesn't feel high up.
Put it in rain mode and it all quietens down again.
And it a tourer on the motorway.

Have fun.
