Total nonsense that. Just do it yourself or do 90% of it and let a good independent do anything you don't fancy. I'm doing my 2013 GSA TC now and repainting the front cover, centre stand and some chips on the rear sub frame and giving it a good spring clean while I've got it on the ramp. Bought the oil filter and washers for the drainplugs and a pair of exhaust gaskets from BMW dealer and oil from OPIE Oils, total spend about £70. I did the valve clearances myself last year so they don't need looking at again this year as they were well within tolerance. I've also dropped the final drive and checked and re-greased that as well as cleaning and checking all the calipers and pads and all the fastenings, none of which your dealer will do.
A BMW service history is not worth that sort of money.
