K&N Air Filter

Considering buying a K&N air filter for my 08 GSA. Have many other people already done this? Does it make much difference to engine response/performance? Have already fitted Remus headers which are great.

i got a BMC one, bought from my local dealer(clarks), works a treat with my remus headers, wouldnt say it makes a massive difference but its gotta help, and ive had no problems either

got one in the 1150, only diff it makes is that i can wash it , to add performance you need a ignition chip etc, exhaust, etc, even then it wont be massive, just an improvement (usually via the exhaust)

Alternative filter

Have a look at this: http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/Why Unifilter.pdf . Using a Unifilter myself and very satisfied with it. Far better filtration than K&N, and very easy to clean.

K+N

Yep have on in my 05 GS. Doesn't make much difference if any. Just make sure you re-map the throttle after youve done it.

Had Remus headers with end can (baffle in) and K/N filter. Bike was fuelling OK through rev range until last 750rpm to redline when it ran slightly lean. Thats not a problem at all of course.
