My mirrors are looking a bit tired so i thought i would treat myself to some new ones. £30 a side BLOODY HELL!!. Before i part with that kind of cash i have heard people on here go on about the mirrors off a K1200.
What is different? Looks,funtion,style?
How much are they? And do you need to do ant mods to the bike or the mirrors to fit?

They're rectangular rather than round. If you do a search you should come up with some pics. I believe you have to grind away a small amount on the left stem to allow the fast-idle lever to move.

Got mine off Verns mate for £50 (bargain!).

I got these as I just don't like round mirrors. You get a bit more vision with this design (oblong) which increases your confidence.
I believe they vibrate less than the standard mirrors being a lot more substantial. They look great too.
You do have to trim the base of the left hand mirror at the point where it attaches the handle bar (only a small amount) to allow the choke lever reach it's maximum point. It doesn't show that much at all.
All in all a practical and esthetic improvement IMO.

Get some. You won't regret it.

Look s Good!!!

Now all i have to do is find some of them, Has anyone got some for sale? Or have i got to try BMW? Would a second hand pair from somewhere like Motorworks be ok if i could find some? Or do they go off colour with age? Photos of the mods needed to the left hand side would be a great help if you could post those.... Mark :0)
