Hi
So, I need new mirrors on my 1150 GSA and I like the look of the K1200rs mirrors and I believe that the view is better.
Its my understanding that they will fit with a bit of 'adjustment' and I have seen pictures with them fitted (on Adv Rider forum).
Can anyone advise, preferably with first hand experience, what I need (mirrors and fittings) and how much 'adjustment' is required.
Motorworks sell the mirrors but I dont see any other fittings and when I look at a BMW parts diagram I see that there appears to be a spacer/washer as well as a nut on each mirror.
Any advice greatfully received....
Cheers

My bike has them on.... I think you use the standard bolts etc but one little part of the plastic may need a bit of a shave to fit as it should. If you need pics I may be able to sort some out this evening for you.

Just buy them... they are very nice and imho an improvement.

i have them as well. The choke lever rubs off the stub and needs to be ground off but mine worked fine without the fettle. I took mine off and put back on standard ones (I dont know why :blast) so I must re fit them. ;)

They ...

... give a wider view because of their shape (Rectangular) but I find they vibrate more, but that might just be my 1150GSA. I (Chad actually) did grind off a fair lump to get the 'fast-idle lever to work fully, but it's hard to see once they're on. Did I mention they look

SO here are a few pics... as far as I can tell there has been no work or grinding done on any parts... or the job was so good I can't tell. ANyhow, I never had issues with the 'idle increaser / choke'

I don't think they vibrate too much... certainly not when I'm up to speed anyway... maybe I'm not pretty enough to feel the need to keep looking at myself :pullface

As you can see... nothing modified on the left hand grip... and the other pic shows all of the parts required... the two mirrors and the weird screw things. If yours are the same then I guess its a straight swap.

Hi Guys,
Many thanks for the replies, particularly canuck for taking the time to post the photos, very helpful (its true what they say about a picture speaking a 1000 words)
Looks like its off to motorworks for me then....

Cheers
