the gear box is super clunky from neutral into first - - other then that i find the gear box fine . . .

and the clutch does make a weird screech pulling away in first also about 25 % of the time - which just sounds wrong - !

but neither of those things bother me - - and i am inclined to agree with the dealer who said " they all do that sir " ( or words to that effect ) as i had ridden 3 or 4 prior to buying mine ( the 1200gt i rode immediately prior to buying mine made the " wrong " noise 50% of the time...........)

I dont know how BMW got the gearbox \ clutch wrong, do they have test riders?
"they all do that sir" no they dont Blackbirds dont nor ZZR14 or busa.
Why didnt they go to the man that make these gearboxes and place an order.

My 07 12GT used to do that until the dealer replaced the clutch activating pin for a later modified one, which (I believe) allows more oil.

Not had any noise since.

Contact your dealer, it's a well known issue and can be fixed under warranty.
