Can anyone tell me where the iphone cable in the righthand side cubbyhole goes to? I dont have the audio platform that goes under the seat. The cable (USB and 3.5 jack plug) must run to somewhere, it would be handy to charge the phone if nothing else.
I know i need an adapter cable for the iphone end of the cable.

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks

I'm afraid I have no idea where the other end of the lead terminates.

That being said, it would be easy enough to run a power lead into the cubbyhole. The K1600GT forum (mostly populated by Americans) has some very well written guides on how to remove panels to access the cubbyholes and make all sorts of modifications. I used the threads when I ran a power lead up to the nearside switchgear to power a heated jacket controller.

Failing that, drop into your local dealership. They'll either know or be able to pull up a wiring diagram for you... Or ask the K1600GT forum members.

PS As a wild idea. Drop into a dealership. See if you can borrow an adapter lead (or buy a cheap copy off ebay) to see if your existing lead is live already. If it is, it won't matter where it terminates.

Thanks Wapping.
I traced the wires back and I think they plug into the audio system under the seat. The audio system I don't have .........
So you use the blanked off buttons for heated jackets etc ? That sounds a good idea.
I just need a decent set of tyres that won't go bald before I get to Ljmuiden now...

If you are running Metzler tyres, take care. Down to a certain point (say around 2/3) the wear rate is gradual; the last third rockets by. I now keep a careful note of the mileage when I fit new tyres, changing front and back in pairs at roughly 4,500 miles. A heavy bike with lots of power, eats rubber.

Richard. I will try the Pirelli Angel GT's. A trip around Germany coming up and the Metzler's have over 2000 miles on them now.

Thanks for the advice.
