How robust are OEM hexhead handguards please? Do they stand up to a decent drop?

I was a little concerned that they mount to the master cylinder perches so could potentially end up breaking one.

I'm considering Barkbusters but thought I'd ask first as I'm new to K25 models.

TIA

Can’t answer your question, but I have just fitted BBs to mine and they are sturdy. Attached to the bars via clamps and the bar end. Best deal was at Motorworks, but you may find better.

Mine have been on the deck a couple of times and whacked a few bushes off road and held up pretty good.

I do have the Touratech protectors around the reservoirs.

My 06 stock handguards have been on the deck quite a few times in Iceland and have stood up well. The only thing that broke was the little bracket that fixes the inner part to the handlebars on the throttle side. I had to glue it as the part in not available separately would you believe. 579FC053-2021-4F27-A274-9E8EEB2D0406.jpg

on the GS 0307 (not the very different GSA ones with the aluminum clamp to the bars), the small plastic bracket that breaks isn't shown on the part drawings - but its the very same parts for the HP2 Enduro which are available separately

How do you look after Lupinus?

How to care for lupins. Water new plants for the first few months until established and water pot grown plants as needed. Taller lupin varieties may need supporting or staking. Deadhead lupins once flowers have faded, cutting back to ground level, which may encourage a second flush of flowers.

Do not rest a BMW R1200GSA on them.

ps.
You could probably buy the BMW knockoff handguards from Ali express and use that extension piece.

Do they fit using the original bar ends or replacements?
