Wanted K75 wanted.

I always fancied a K75 S when I was a despatch rider in the 80s. I considered it an improvement on my CX500 Eurosport.

During my unfortunate spell selling BMWs in the early 90s we couldn't get enough K75Ss - I was always trying to buy nice used ones for stock as I knew they would fly out the door. I always liked riding them, although the bars are very narrow for some reason. 75LT was quite nice too. I suspect that nowadays I'd find the brakes a bit lacking - they are one of the big improvements between the 8 and 16V K100s.

Is there now an adaptor available to upgrade the O/E twin piston calipers to 4 pots?

I had one and hated it, too much mechanical whirring and not a lot happening mine also had a nasty shimmy at the front I couldn't seem to get rid of, much preferred my K100RS and the 1100, but then we're all different.

Good luck finding the right bike

Horrible...

Shouldn't wobble, none of the many I rode did. The bike in the picture looks as though it has had higher bars fitted, and a whopping great top box wouldn't have helped, IIRC the old K series top boxes were tiny - maybe for a reason?

I do remember being shocked at how much faster, lighter and easier to handle Japanese stuff like VFR750s were when I got the odd one traded in.

Weirdly the k75s I had a horrible wobble/shimmy. Turned out the front wheel was not true and Motoworks beckoned.

I enjoyed around three years with a K75S, but as I have short arms (and legs) ultimately the reach to the bars gave me a crick in my neck, all sortable I know, but by then I wanted something else.
Totally reliable while with me and quite economical, the discs we modified from cast iron car items at work and the screen was the cut down standard one which worked well with way less turbulence. Sometimes comfort issues aren't noticeable at first but eventually work away at you too much to be bothered with the bikeE81F23DC-D3D0-4DF8-BECD-B3B14BE79732_1_105_c.jpeg

Haaaa! You said yourself ! You're tight :D:D:D

I hope you can pass the details of the K1100RS to @nicholsonj2252 He has been looking a decent one for a couple of years
I've done so Jay but he reckons no at the moment . I will post a link here to anyone else interested. I was very tempted and even checked the rail fare - only £40 on Trainline. If it had been close enough for a look see, I'd likely have bought it, behemoth or not!

Just checking for a friend - is the K1100RS always the 16v engine?
Yes

K100 If it had the usual 8 spoked rims and Square Rocker covers it was an 8 valve

If it had 3 spoke rims and much more round rocker covers generally (but more noticeable to the rear)

Also 16 valve on the between cam spark plug cover for 16V

Keep it at the top ,very expensive in its day , but a question I'd like the answer to is why is there such a big gape between the tail piece and side panels ?

The front mount of the side panel clips to the frame rail. The gap is to allow for you to pull the panel back towards the tail unit (there’s a pin between the two).

They’re all like that.

Yes I have got that ,but doesn't look right me thinks thanks Barry
