My 1989 K75S front brakes could do with a overhaul. I would like to start with the master cylinder as despite repeated bleeding it just does not feel right. There is also the suspicion of a fluid leak, so slight it is hard to be sure. Anyway being forgetful (it's an age thing) I have come back to the UK for a few weeks without checking for any markings that might identify the cylinder. Motorworks list a repair kit for a 13mm cylinder. Does anyone know if this was the standard size for this bike?

Yes. 13mm. The 20mm was introduced with the 16v models.

No matter what you do to the brakes, braided hoses, better pads etc, the weakness in the single piston calliper set-up is the small diameter of the master cylinder piston. The brakes work fine, they just always seem to have a soft feel at the lever.
