Kahedo Seats

mine is a yellow gs and it looks really nice with the silver piping.:)

My Kahedo ex low arrived today and very nice it is too. I can't comment on how comfy it is (because I certainly haven't put it on my computer chair and sat on it) as I don't pick my GSA up until 1st september........9 weeks, 4 days, 18 hours........
I can confirm that the seat base started life as a OE BMW item as there is a BMW symbol stamped into the base. Very good quality though.
I've bought the one with silver piping and grey rear section. I'm going over to my dealer on Friday to check it all fits ok. If it does I'll have the grey section and piping re-trimmed in red to match the rear seat.

Bit of an old thread I know, but I was considering the TT kahedo option before I ordered the BMW low seat option on my 1200GSA. Is there any particular reason why (it seems) a lot of people don't just order the slightly cheaper BMW low seat?

I have an Alpine White GSA (black/red seat), is the red still not available on the Kahedo?

Cheers

being vertically challenged......i had the bmw low seat on my 1200gs when i bought it.........it aint the most comfy of seats, very hard and ya bum aches after 50 odd mile.......
got the kahedo seat and its good for whatever distance you want to do...most i have done in a day is 250/300 miles and i didn't have any bum ache........only thing i find cos of the shorter seat to peg, i have to rest me feet on the pots after 100 miles and me knees start to ache............but that could just be old age.....................lol

Must be hell with your choice of riding boots!

I'll give the low seat a go when it eventually arrives, if I don't like it I may just order a Kahedo. Judging by Ebay there is a definite market for GS seats so it should be easy to sell at not too much of a loss.

Both the red & yellow piped seats were deleted eralier this year so only the grey seat with silver piping is now available. I already have a BMW low seat on my 1200GSA and it's about as comfortable as sitting on a park bench so have invested in an Airhawk which adds some height and kind of defeats the whole concept of buying a lower seat. I'll just keep looking a used Kahedo low:thumb

Just buy a new one and fit it on it will look great!!! by the way i'll have yer old airhawk:mmmm

I just got a new kahedo seat today for my 07 GSA. I must say it looks the part and is well built. However, it seems quite hard and I think I can feel the bike's vibrations much more compared to the original seat. That said I find the riding position much improved.

Has anybody done any long distance riding on the kahedo? Does it perhaps need to bed in a little? And do pillions complain about being higher up in the air?
