Kawasaki 1000 Versys Grand Tourer - how did that happen ?

So Thursday, sitting outside local Sainsburys with the Mrs....see a 'pending' advert for a local Kawasaki...sends a little note should sale fall through, please let me know....thirty minutes later...bought the bugger !! Seems the buyer 'forgot' he was coming to view and he and his mate had started drinking so he may pop around the next day !! Seller said he put pending up as a lot of interest in the 5,500 immaculate bike !! Comfort seat, GIVI protection, full service history ( last month with M.O.T), fancy silencer etc etc. Bought it on way back from the shop...said I wasn't going bigger anymore

Probably totally innocent, most likely got carried away until the reality of spending money hit him.

On my early V1K, the front could get be a bit flighty when fully loaded for touring - anti-wheelie was part of a major electronics overhaul for 2019.

The marque forum is well worth joining BTW - our very own @TYKEBBS is a long term inmate & still hangs out there I gather.

They are a superb bike, I've owned 2.....used locally and toured Europe comfortably....if I was able then I would have another in a heartbeat , sadly I'm unable to manage them anymore

That looks very nice Kenny , previous owner has splashed some cash on that exhaust, engine bars, screen deflector. Bet its as smooth as silk to ride.

I'd message him just out of courtesy, to message the first 'buyer' to point out someone popped over and bought it and 'I am bikeless for the first time in years'.

On reflection you are right, the earlier 2015 version was available in the Orange colour but also later year models as well, it was a popular colour and very nice too
