Mick went into IT but was recently made redundant, he's looking to get back into the bike trade in some way. I'm still in touch with him.
Are they moving into the old Ken's building which is now empty?

I'm not sure, it would make sense in my oppinion to put the Kawasaki's where the yamaha's were, opposite the main shop.

I used to live round the corner in Lancaster Street ,we used to go down on a Saturday afternoon and pull wheelies on our H1's all the way up the hill toward the Cop Station

I must say, the last time I visited Kawasaki Newcastle, since they moved away from the Hill was when I had my KLX250.
I wonder if they've lost any "casual trade" because of their Scotswood Road location.
...could be bad timing if the new Honda dealer is going to be on Scotswood Road though?
PS: Good for drag-racing on Scotchy Road.....

Worked at Kawasaki Newcastle from 1980 to 1984, really enjoyed it, maybe I'm being sentimental but the hill would seem the natural place for the shop. It never seemed right to me on Scottsy Road.

Used to come down to Kawaski Newcastle to buy stuff for my bmx and drool at bikes on the hill

I did it on a KMX 125, Geoff Young wasn't too pleased as he was coming out of the workshop door at the time
