So, there I was in my newly tidied garage thinking, what the hell am I gonna do til the 800 arrives.
I know I said, I'll buy an old knacker and play with it.
So, enter stage left my 1985 GPZ600R.
It runs now, and sounds sweet over 2000 rpm, had it up the road, has plenty ( ish ) of power, but below 2000, or more like 1500 rpm, it rattles so badly it's unbelieveable.
Now as I understand it, if it was rings or mains, the rattle would continue thro the rev range, or even get worse, but it disappears when under load..
Anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking perhaps, cam chain tensioner, or could it be something else??
Long shot I know.
Ta muchly.
