Hi, looking to fit auxillary lamps on my 2000 1150, I don't really want any additional switches so thought about using the original headlight switch for the spotlamps and adding a warning light, then wiring the head/side lights to be switched on the ignition as on later models, any advice welcome thanks:cool:

Do a search on Autoswitch it interupts the circuit to switch on additional lights when you press and hold the indicator cancel switch. Same to turn them off. Comes with a warning light and relay:thumb

lights

I know you said no other switches
but--- I got a light bar wired with two lamps all wiring and inline fuse it runs to a very neat waterproof switch wich is stuck on the inside of my left hand switch cluster, all for the princley sum of £80 don't know the price now but Ill bet not much more from----HOW MUCH:thumb----off the site do a search for him oh and they bolt straight on under the beak two bolts out two supplied new ones back in.
Got to be easier and more cost effective than auto switch and wiring into headlamp

I didn't use switches either. Wired the fog/running/side lights to be switched off the ignition and wired the spots to be switched off the headlamp switch. Simple and works a treat.

Did this on an 1100 and an 1150.

Thanks Timolgra, been on to Normans, they don't do a switch for the 1150, I did'nt know they were available anywhere else :thumb

Did you solve your switch problem? What was wrong with using an Autoswitch? I had one on my 1150GS to control a pair of flood lights under the beak. Spliced it into the indicator cancel switch cable in the space under the fusebox. Worked perfectly.
