Keep my Tom Tom or get the Bmw 4

I have ordered the new Lc,understand that the "weel" will only work withe the Bmw 4.
My questions is about the trip functions on the garmin 660 or the Bmw 4,can you turn off the trip computer or reset to 0 at the end of the day?
I dont want the speed to be logged and not be able to reset.
