It dose two jobs for me it's a jacket I can walk round with on cold day and goes nicely under my klim jacket when riding, like on Sunday's ride, dam cold.
I think it's over priced myself, £260 a friend of mine bought a Chinese one from Ali express £14 with 12 heated sections and 5 heat setting, I used it on Sunday for an hour, it was much better than keis, can't say what amps it draws, there's nothing on it, I would say I used my power bank and it worked great, it's a push button on the chest that lights up when on, changes colour depend on what heat setting,
got much warmer than the keis, I'm going to order one for my trip to finland, he's had the jacket for over a year now so seems pretty reliable for £14, if anyone interested in one I'll post a link

I'd be interested. i have a Keis waistcoat that i use on the bike however I'd like a heated jacket for winter dog walks and the puffer is quite expensive.

Tried my heated insoles for the first time today - they were lush, and plenty warm on the minimum setting.

Does anyone know if the Keis controller changes the amps or the voltage supplied? It'd be nice not to have the control box flapping around as I ride...

Can you possibly post the link to the jkt you've tried..have a pal that doesn't want a Keis Price..and for occasional cold rides.

The jacket has a few options, 9 to 21 heat zones,
Price ranges from £16 to £22 the hood zips off,
It works with power bank 5v it says that it's recommended that you use 2A usb out put to get the highest heat out put, I would think that means if you are using it at full power, if I'm reading correctly it's will still work on 5v at 1.5 but not give full output,
I can say for sure I ran mine at full power and it got pretty warm, my m8 runs his on lowest setting on the back and middle setting on the front.
It's got wet a few times without any issues, it's says it's washable.
The gillet is quit cheap, he uses that for walking the dogs, he has used that for over a year, on occasions on the bike,
Jacket is in Asian sizes so use the size chat.
The gillet is more normal sizes but still use the chart,
Free delivery on orders over £8 free return if wrong size, but it's China so may take a little time.

This is one of the jackets, it only has 9 heat pads in, two at the back, one on the collar, 6 on the front,
He bought a lead that can plug into his usb on the bike to plug into the jacket, just in case his power bank runs out.
