*GS Event* Kelso weekend 17 to 19 April

When I saw this thread I thought ‘cool!! I’m on this’, after I had to drop out last year. Booked a room then realised the 17th is our wedding anniversary . However, a careful conversation today and apparently if a nice breakfast is provided on the Friday morning and a lovely meal on my return then all good. So please put me down as an attendee. I’m in an attic room apparently which will be humour for my 6’5” gangly proportions - I’ll sleep in my lid so when the usual early hours pee is needed I don’t brain myself…

We can organise a group video call with her if she likes to mark the day

PapaHayd, my son-in-law (I can say that now, since he married my daughter in October) and I attended Moffat this year and it was a great weekend. We are both up for this so I've booked an AirB&B in Kelso for 17th and 18th. We'll be on our 1150s and are already looking forward to it!!:beerjug::beer:

It’s on!!

I’ll be staying away from the single malt this time though… :D

Someone asked me if you had to know everyone going along to be able to join in. The answer is no, doesn’t matter if you don’t know anyone, just post on here and turn up. The keyboard warriors don’t come out of hiding, it’s just a great weekend and good to put faces to names and do a bit of tyre kicking or go for a ride or sit and drink beer and watch others do stuff.
If Doc turns up he normally organises a tour of the local museums and historic buildings, highlight of the weekend for many.
These things normally get a fair mix of folk of all types, all makes of bikes, cars, camper vans, drinkers and teetotallers, whatever.
And if anyone offers to sell you a ticket, they’re at it.

I'm only coming if Doc organises a tour of cultural highlights not to be missed. Memorable places of worship and the such....got to be a bit careful as I owe him a breakfast from about 5 years ago in Dent...
Luckily he was pissed with Kahooloo most of the time...
I shall see what i can do.;)
