Kenwood external aerial

I've got a Kenwood TK3201 bike to bike radio & my bike is already fitted with an external aerial (BNC connector on the end of the cable).
Is it possible to convert the Kenwood so I can connect the external aerial ?

If not, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced radio I can use with the external aerial please ?

If I could only get the power up from 1/2 watt - why did i buy kenwood when everyone has gone Chinese

Thanks Newboy - my external aerial has a BNC plug, I'll need an SMA to BNC adapter.
Sounds like a fiddly mod to do.

SMA socket

Opened up the 3201 to take a look. I'm going to need a chassis-mounted SMA socket, 2 screw mounting with 15mm between screw centres. The 3201 chassis is already drilled to take the socket in place of the useless coil aerial.
Anyone know where I can get one please ?

I am trying to do the exact same as you with my Kenwoods. I had found the link from the honda forums before but could not manage to make contact with the guy who posted the post.
I bought the above connections last week but am still awaiting delivery so not even sure if they are going to fit exactly but will let you know. One thing I do know about them is that the section at the back is too short to solder to the Kenwood circuit board so I reckon if you run some of the centre core of coax through it and solder that to the board it should give the signal. (Hoping anyway)
