Old GRIZZ bought a very nice Kenwood Protalk TK-3301 from one of the esteemed members on this forum.

He also borrowed a radio for our trip to France, which worked perfectly.

Today he brought both radio's to me to see whether I could check why the two would not talk to each other.
It seems there are frequency differences which need to be sorted.

I have the Kenwood programming cable for USB - however I do not have the software needed to do the cloning of the two radios.

Any chance anyone on here could assist...?

would appreciate any help & advice.................

Before you program it have you tried using channel 3?

Yep - in fact the TK-3301 that Grizz loaned from Alan was used on our trip using Channel 3. We tried CH-3 on this radio - the green "receive" light does come on but no sound is heard. If I keep the monitor button in, then it does indeed work. So either the squelch is too high (which I'm hoping to rectify with the software) or perhaps the Digital Tone is set differently.

What I'd like to do is to read the fully working 3301's settings and clone it to the other radio.... easiest I suppose...?

TK-3201 and Andy but otherwise carry on :augie :D

don't mock me.........:blagblah :D

:blast:blast

rectified............ the radio's are in fact TK-3101's... not 3301 or 3201's :thumb

and yes... it's Andy ..... not Alan (should have just put "A" - safer ;))

been doing so much reading and searching on Internet that models & names got confused - apologies.... :rob
