Kenwood TK3101 - where/how to bike mount??

Just acquired a TK3101 and Autocom lead part 102 to power it from my Pro Avi. Part 102 is quite a short lead and therefore kind of invites you to mount the radio on the bike...

Having searched the forum, I see there's been some questions on how to mount the radio vertically to get the best reception and some discussion on remote aerials - but I have a couple of questions that maybe someone out there has already solved and can offer the benefit of their wisdom...

Anyone found a simple but effective way to fix their radio to a 1200GSA?

Anyone got any good ways to keep the back of the radio clean/dry, as without the battery in place, it looks likely to attract all sorts of sh1te...

Any thoughts appreciated...

I posted this on the other topic which has the TK3201 in the title under yours last week if it helps:-
In relation to leaving the TK3102 on the bike I have mine and the Autocom permantely under the seta in the tool tray. How I achieved this was to remove the top section of the tool tray and cut off the bottom half so I am just left with the top rim if you like.This allows my Autocom Pro-sport and Kenwood, and 2 interface boxes and a BT dongle to sit in nicely. By leaving the top section with a rim it allows the small rubber to stilll be in place for the seat to push against. There is a small relay under the tray but the autocom or radio no not affect this when they're in place. I also just used the Aux Sucket to power mine Autocom and nought a dun plug for it. I also have a Zumo 550 so all my music I need is on there so no need for my Ipod.
I also had the problem with people not being able to hear me when going through the Zumo so just ended up going straight to dongle and Autocom. For all the calls I recieve it was hardly worth the effort to persue it ny further for me.
