Hi Guys
I have an Autocom Logic, fitted a few months ago, and I've just bought Kenwood TK3301 radio for bike to bike but I need to know what cables I need to hook it all up.
The Autocom is under the seat attached to the tank.

I've searched various threads for where to position the radio etc and looked on Autocom site but a bit confused as what's the right stuff.
I'd like to put the radio in the cockpit area but then I'd need a cable long enough to get under the seat which I haven't seen.
My Autocom is bike powered so does that mean when I connect the radio it will power that also.

Sorry to go on for so long but try to give you as much info as poss - I really need your help.:comfort

Thanks
JJ

Kenwood to Autocom

My thoughts would be to fit part 2356 (this converts to grey socket G5) then an option of 2409 (5pin grey to 5 pin grey) to increase the length then a choice of 2368/2369/2370 depending on location.

have a look here Autocom
Remember this will not power radio

Check out Chainspeed.co.uk or give Sam a call. He is very helpful. If the 3301 takes the same battery as the 3201, you can buy the battery eliminator for it which will power the radio as well form the autocom. And I would imagine you can get a 5 pin extension lead.:thumb2

battery eliminator

Can the logic power a radio?

And yes the battery on a 3201 is the same as a 3301

JJ give sam a buzz and ask for the below then job done

1x Part 2342 this will bike power the kenwood
1x Part 2356 this will get you a grey din plug connection
2x Part 2409's these are extension leads to allow for the kenwood to be ran on person or into a tank bag etc

Cheers

Can a logic power a Kenwood radio?

All depending on the Kenwood then yes, the TK3201's and TK3301's can do with the parts I have mentioned.

Bohsfc, the grey plug is not really needed as the Kenwood could plus straight into the Logic via a JST plug if there is room to keep the radio close to the comms. For any GS's I always supplied the above parts I listed.
