keyless or gear assist pro ??

Is it really that easy to rip the nav off? I'd think the only way you could know was to have done it yourself or seen someone else do it.
To avoid misunderstanding I'm not accusing you of nicking Satavs, it's just an observation.
The lock mechanism is plastic so it will break but I think you'd need some time and a lever and you'd also damage the Garmin.

Bmw do not claim it's a anti theft mount. The right half of the satnav is exposed easy to grab. When I get time I will make an aluminium enclosure.
And by the way Vario locks have a major flaw pizz easy to open without a key
Trust me I am an engineer

Picked my new bike today, and have to say I'm most impressed with the keyless system. Sure someone earlier said they had to get their key out the pocket to open fuel cap ?? Not on mine you don't, press ignition off, open fuel cap....seemples :thumb2

Most people commenting on keyless don't have it. It's a brilliant feature, and I wouldn't hesitate getting it again.

Isn't that par for the course on most forums with people who don't have something trying to justify why or just repeating what they've been told or read elsewhere. It was on the test bike I rode and I can see the advantages of having it but as mine's likely to be a keeper decided not to include it as it was something else to potentially go wrong but that's not to say it's not a good bit of kit because it is (IMO of course!)

Littleade... + 1
Its a shame so many post on this forum , criticising things they know sod-all about !
There should be a "qualifier " ...Do you have any fucking experience of the xxxx you are criticising?

Just to add. Keyless go and Shift assist are worth every penny BMW charge. ( I think they may even be FOC on some new bikes)
If you are buying a used model; there are plenty around with all the options, ignore those without !

Good point.:thumb

And, OP, dont take any notice of the comments from people that don't even own the bike, let alone have these options; those that have these keyless or gsap and know how to use them properly rarely have any regrets.;)

Totally agree

Remember: when you haven't got it, its normally crap, you don't need it, and it wil go wrong anyway !!!

Get both you won't regret it.
