My trusty Gshock 5230 AWG is about goosed and I need to replace it. I would happily buy another but my only niggle with it is the depth which means it gets a bit battered when sticking my paw into small spaces. Other than that its been perfect and a sensible size (most G shocks are too bulky for me.
I've been looking at either a basic luminox navy seal or citizen pro tough titanium as a replacement. Both seem to be available around the £200 mark at the moment.
I like the look and idea of the luminox being very light but I've never actually seen one and worry the crystal will scratxh easily based on some reviews???
The citizen looks pretty basic and tough, I'm wondering if it will be more durable than the luminox??? It looks like the crystal may be slightly recessed like the G shock so less prone to scratching???
Has anyone got either or both and have any thoughts?

If its just a work watch...Casio FW91 10.99 from Argos. Robust and waterproof.

Or browse AliExpress. Some are cheaper than a battery change in the UK.

Her indoors had me order two a while back, just to get over the free delivery threshold, essentially the same watch with different coloured faces - £14 the pair & they seem to work perfectly well for everyday use. We also use an AliEx acquired watch repair kit, £7, which makes strap adjustment & battery changes easy - something the neighbours share too. Batteries - Renata preferred, just try & avoid fakes.

Thanks for the replies guys. The £11 casio is a good shout for work use. I'll order one for that purpose but I should have clarified that it will also be a watch that will be my daily wear and used for mountain biking, sailing and general outdoor use as well as work hence wanting something a bit 'nicer' than the £11 casio.

Seiko SNDA57P1, if they still sell those.

Bought one years ago, love it. Not bulky, looks very good, fairly sturdy. Cannot say about the glass. But I used it for riding quite a fair amount as it was the most comfortable of my watches for riding (until recently) not being very thick and being an issue under the gloves... it is still in perfect conditions.

Bought it new at around 120 quid a few years ago.

Update: sorry I re-read you original message and I erroneously thought you were looking for other models/brand suggestions as well ;)

Timex have a Black Friday sale on at present... 30%off retail. I ordered one as a cycling watch because I don't want to worry about gravel strike, etc. on anything close to expensive (but still want to think there's some reliability).

Re: Luminox... I looked into these a couple of months ago..... There are volumes of abysmal ratings across the Web, for their poor customer service, variable performance quality, etc. Plus, the luminosity is achieved via gas discharge, with limited life.
