I've tried just about everywhere else, I might as well try here.

I'm doing an event at my school on Tuesday for the 90th anniversary of the Armistice. The money's going to the Erskine Hospital. I was hoping to lay hands on a pair of heavy wool khaki Army troosers which I could wear with some puttees etc

So far I've tried ...

Armstrongs in Edinburgh
The museum at the castle
Various WW1 forums on t'internet.

No joy.

Any other ideas?

A pair of khaki(ish) moleskins from M&S at the Gyle. £35.00 to you, Sir....:)

I know because I bought two pairs on Wednesday night.

Thanks guys

Tried the A&N stores Garfield. Or atleast their web site. It's all modern stuff now. The days of gas mask bags to hold your jotters are long gone. Ta anyway.

The moleskins might be an idea Schtum. Will check them out. Ta
