eyes bean luckin @ a 1986 R80G/S PD butt it didn't have a kickstart.

Did they all have kickies or not ?????

Kickstarts were a pay extra option. My girlfriends Paralever GS has one, not the easiest to use.

It might not have the original gearbox anyway - it's nearly 20 years old!

First G/S had kickstart only - electric boot was the pay for extra!

Word is that the kick shaft wears quickly, so it should be used in dire emergencies only, i.e., you're stalled at the bottom of a sand wash and your battery is a bit flat, and won't spin the motor.

My '93 GS/PD has one and I've used it 3 times--each time to prove to onlookers that it works.

G/Ses had the kick start standard.
The Electric start was an optional extra.

In some markets all the imported bikes had both e.g. all the bikes that came to OZ had the electric start. I think you would have been able to do a special order and get one without an electric starter .. if you waited a year or so...

The GS es had the electric start standard, but no kick start. I don't know if they offered the option of a kick start.

tahnsk for that

there is receipts for a destroyed gearbox

so it looks like box has been changed

oh well another bargining option

thanks Steve
