Bike?

Iv signed up on my ktm 450 rally prep, big ass tank etc. Maybe I should of gone on the bigger bike?

I was trying to get my head around the regs, does the bike have to be road legal for this rally, horn etc? If so my school girl pink bell will that suffice?

The bikes still in bits still trying to build a front rally fairing doh!

I'm in !

Riding exc 400
Big bike next year if all goes well !

I'm in

Entered enduro O40 class on 450 exc, paid and looking forward to meeting all you northern monkeys! :beerjug: ps anyone know if we have to present bikes with number plates and lights and tax, or is the event all off road? , also will I look stupid up North if i bring a vehicle with valid road tax!:augie

Your bike will need to be completly road legal for this event as for most of the rally type events. there is miles of public road in this event . Seems strange the very short terms and conditions section does not include it, if it were me i would ask the organiser to print the full suplementry regs on the website.

Yes your bike needs to be 100% road legal for this event. There is a 7 mile road liaison from the startand each lap is 70 miles.

Another thing we all need to consider when entering this kind of event is insurance. Most if not all insurance will not cover you in this kind of event ,i know mine doesn't .Imagine trying to explain to your insurer what you were doing on that forest road with those competion numbers on when you hit that rambler. The entry fee does not include any insurance at all, so if its an ACU event it's worth paying the extra ten quid or so for the one event third party insurance. you should be able to pay for it at the start of the event, but worth checking with the organiser.

Thanks for the advice

I will dig out the number plate in time for July. The website enduro-neec.org.uk could be more informative but as long as they organise enduro's we can work out the rest I'm sure, I have entered the O40 class but now wonder if I should ask to swap to the Rally Route Plus, hopefully I will be contacted at some point by the organisers, now I have paid.

Just need the aches + pains from the weekend to go away now.

Ive been in touch with the organizers, This is one of the email i got back ;)

"You can pay on the day for your day license, the test is the same for every one, rally plus has 4 loops of true enduro going on the lasion stages you may want to think about changing to rally"

Ive entered on my KTM 950SER in the rally plus class :augie

Hi ya, I paid online and have not heard didly squat, but don't worry that is not unusual, turn up on the day and they will have you down on the list.

Folks

I have entered K2 but cannot seem to download the regs at all.
Can anyone copy/paste them to me at all please ??????????????

Thanks

Likewise I entered the Ryedale and Kielder events, paying online. I got confirmation of payment emails from both and very soon after got a confirmation email that my entry for the Ryedale had been accepted and telling me when final details would follow. As a newbie I thought something similar would follow for the Kielder, but nothing yet nor any reply to a follow-up email.

I'm working on the basis that as they've got my money I've got a place, but it would be good to know for definite!

Tyres for the rally?

Ok I need some new tyres for the ktm 450 exc, obviously they should be road legal, any suggestions ?
