Another volume question I am sorry to say. Basically I have read with interest all the "how to increase my volume "posts. and am quite happy that all the necessary volume controls, master and otherwise on the Zumo 550 and rider on the autocom are at their max. Passenger is turned down and auto fade is on the middle setting and vox at its least sensitive on the 300 kit.
GSrich can possibly answer the point I need. I was at the show last week on Trade day and you or a colleague fitted the speakers into a C3 helmet for me so I am pretty sure they will be correctly fitted.
However when riding with ear plugs I have all volume controls at maximum(two on the 550 and rider on the 300), and I am struggling to hear directions on gps at speeds over 60. Music is ok just. Without ear plugs things are fine. Yes the speed sensor is fitted by yourslves and is working fine.
My question is if I open up the 300 can I increase the audio output adjuster on aux 2. If so which way to turn it.
I am using bluetooth dongle on the aux 1 for phone and isolated stereo lead on aux 2 for rest. I tried an ordinary non isolated lead instead and the audio was increased by about 20% which was perfect, and there was no interference, but am not sure whether there would be any long term damage if I stuck with that. Both autocom and zumo are bike powered. Any help would be appreciated.
