Hi
I recently bought a Klim Badlands Pro suit (jacket and trousers), the trousers felt draughty on my right leg, I put this down the then being slightly short and sitting high on my boot, so I swapped them out for a longer pair, these feel even worse!

I have checked all zips are fully closed and put them on the tightest fit around the ankle but no better, coming down the A1 last night at 5 degs I resorted to pulling over and digging out a pair of jeans to wear underneath.
My cheap Richa are so much warmer but not water proof.

Anyone else had this problem?

To say I am a bit miffed is a major under statement considering how much they cost! :(

They all look ok although the rear vent exhaust zip wasn't quite pushed into it's little hood but I doubt that's it.
Last night I turned them inside out and all looked fine.

Do you wear a base layer?

the outer shell gets very cold, so you need to insulate yourself from it.

I've got a new pair of the pants and I've only been able to wear them twice in the last couple of weeks. The first time I wore them I felt that the top of my thighs were much colder than I thought they would be. I think it is just the the material getting cold against my skin. The next time I rode with them I had a base layer on and it was much better. I may not be feeling what you are, but I know when I would wear just the outer layer of my old Rev'it Defender pants it didn't feel as cold.

One of the good things with Klim is I can wear jeans underneath, which I have started to do in the last week, still a slight cold feeling but I can live with it.
My Richa gear has a quilted liner which is warm which I prefer to wearing base layers but if that's what I gotta do.....

You could do better than wear jeans. Apart from the fact that you're probably sitting on quite thick stitched seams which will eat your arse in time, cotton is a bad choice for any outdoor activity that's not carried out in a hot desert climate. Gore-Tex needs a pressure and temperature differential across the membrane to aid transpiration of perspiration molecules. In order to do that properly, you need a wickable, breathable fabric. Try wearing a cotton t-shirt under even the best Gore-Tex jacket on a mountain in a downpour and you'll soon get wet.

If you want to keep warm under your Klim pants and base layer long johns aren't enough, I'd go for fleece track pants. They don't have to be expensive, you can get very good ones from places like Go Outdoors for next to nowt. I use these.... http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/trekmates-microfleece-mens-trousers-p131916

If you can wear jeans underneath them I would guess they're too big, mine are great. No draughts and completely waterproof.

I'm wearing jeans as that is what I wear at work and it's only a short commute, longer rides I wear proper base layers.
They are a bit baggy but the last pair I had were a bit short, these are the extra long, not sure why they felt the need to make them a looser fit because they are extra long.
I looked at Rukka, the jacket was too long and bunched up at the front, also read lots on their zip having problems.
