Is there one? Or do we have to look to Europe or the UK?

A little birdy told me at the NEC that a certain unnamed dealer in Ballymount.....off the M50....a big place, they sell lawnmowers as well, will be stocking Klim very shortly.

I tried some on in megabikes ltd in Wexford street Dublin.. December past..

Really?? Hope they improve their customer service! It's worse than shite!!

Have dealt with them 3 times. First time, Kev was in Siberia and needed a fuel injector. They ordered one in and when I went in to pick it up, the day before i flew out to meet him, the ktm guy wasn't in and the honda guys wouldn't check if the part was in. Eventually, they did and gave it to me.
2 years later, i phoned an order in, they told me it would be in in 5 days. The bikes were being shipped out a week later. The parts weren't in by the time we left. They came in about 2 weeks later and one of the parts was wrong, they had to reorder and it barely arrived in time for us flying out 6 weeks after originally putting the order in.
Yesterday, Kev phoned to see if they had a service kit for his free ride, they said they'd go and check. I was passing half hour later and they hadn't phoned Kev back. I popped in, waited while 2 staff chatted to each other while i waited to be served, eventually asked if they'd found any service kits, eventually he said no they had none. I asked how soon he could get one in. He said 5 days. I asked if that was definite and he said well, can't guarantee it. they only put in an order when it's over €500 and then it takes 2/3 days. So if i place an order and pay, and no one else places an order for 3 weeks, then i don't get my stuff till then. That's shite customer care.

I bought my Klim Badlands from Adventurebikeshop.co.uk. Their service is top class. They shipped the gear for free (their system showed the shipping cost as £60 to Ireland) and it arrived two days later.

When I tried it on, the large jacket was actually too big for me (my fault, that's what I ordered). I phoned them and Jenny said she'd get a courier to collect it from me. The courier happened to be in the area ( very rural part of county Galway) and collected it less than an hour after I had phoned the shop.

Jenny warned me that they were going to a big show at the end of the week, so they wouldn't be around to ship the medium to me until after the weekend. The medium jacket arrived the following Tuesday. They didn't charge me anything for the return shipping, or for shipping the correct size. That, to me, is top class customer service. I buy from them as much as possible because a company like that deserves to be supported.

First time I went in I had my eye on a 1290 adventure. Demo was out. I asked to get a call when there was a demo available... no call,

A week later in again... no demo... they didn't even thing there was a demo... huh?

Third time.. I went in and there was one sitting in the car park. Great, I was ready to put the deposit down that day - cash was there ready to go.
The were three lads at the counter - one was serving a customer the other two were talking to each other with no interest in talking to me. I ask one of them about the bike and said talk to the other guy who was with the customer. So I said - there's one in the car part would it be ok if I go out and have a look and sit on it. Yer man says yeah no problem. So I leave my helmet there and out I go.
So there I am... 53 year old grey haired bloke, dressed in Rukka, when I hear a shout - 'What are ye at...' Huh...? 'get off the fuckin bike...' Off I jump... it's yer man who was with the customer... I explain that I asked the guy behind the counter but he's not having any of it - he continues to berate me in the car park like a thug that's trying to steel a bike and tells me to come into the showroom and wait... needless to say I went back in - there were four lads in suits in the showroom... so I front of them I tore shreds of him and the bloke behind the counter...

I then rode up to Duffy's had a coffee and bought another r1200gs. I love the look of the KTM's but I wouldn't to deal with those incompetent twats. The only other option is McCallans and I haven't got the time to be spinning up and down for warranty and service so no ktm:thumby:

You sure you are talking about megabikes? They don't have a car park. The bikes are on the pavement on the street.

I'm confused regarding the shite service comments - are we talking about MegaBikes or another dealer off the M50? And who is the dealer off the M50? Is it Cotters?

Megabikes is on Wexford Street in town.

We are talking (well I am) about M50 Honda/KTM.......... but I have made no claims about their service, as I have never dealt with them.

That's exactly the experience I would associate with them. He didn't give a rats ass about me needing a service kit as he doesn't sell Freerides so I'm clearly not worth dealing with.

Good to know:thumb2
We bought a suit each from Klim Europe last year and had a palaver with exchanging mine as it was too big. They won't organise returns and if you return a package as a normal(non business) customer the package is only insured for up to €80/€100.
I asked Klim to cover the return and I would pay for it but they refused. I got a friend to deliver it eventually.

It took about 8 weeks to get it sorted. It's difficult to get sizing right without actually trying stuff on so it would be great if there was a distributor here. :thumb
Having said that, it's very unlikely they'll have much in the way of women's clothing:(
