Klim Gear Looks Baggy In Pics - How Does Armour Stay In Place?

In every pic I've seen of Klim gear - pants in particular - they look really baggy. How does the armour stay in place?

Pockets in the trousers (paleeeeeeeeeease don't call them pants; fecking dumbed down Merkin bollox).........

I guess though you mean how does it remain in place relative to your body? It doesn't (particularly well). I still use their shit though 'cos I like the 'off road' cut and they are dead comfy ~ a compromise I'm happy to make.

I have armour in the hip pockets of my Klim trousers, but I use knee protectors that fit on my actual knees. Should qualify that I use the Klim troos for off roading.

On the new version of the badlands trousers ( newer than the hippies) there are adjusting straps above and below the knee that keeps it in place much better than the previous versions although having had both thanks to the warranty i preferred the older more off road focussed cut

Mine are the Overland troose which are an off road style, very baggy and easily go over MX boots..........

I wear trousers for funerals and interviews and such. I wear pants at all other times. I have cargo pants, short pants, even underpants... or should that be undertrousers?

I recently got an Acerbis armoured shirt. I like using that under my regular bike jackets (coats? anoraks?) instead of the armour that came in the jacket. My fave bike pants are my Dainese Drake Super Air - as close-fitting as my leathers, so the knee armour is nice & snug...

Armour unlikely to stay on my joints when I crash? What's the point then? :nenau
 
Call them what ever you want if they are baggy then in the event of a slide the material will grab and probably tear, at best the armour will move out of the way of what it was designed to protect,
Bike kit needs to be tight to work at its optimum.

Most kit worn these days is a size too big to allow for other warmer layers or to make it more comfortable for the rider, mine included.

A lot of offroad designed gear is baggier around the knees to allow for knee braces etc as your not going to slide far compared to tarmac
 
I am amazed that the ' is it trousers or just trouser ' argument has not started yet

You have a point. However not all Klim gear is like that but the off road stuff that I use is.

I wear them 'cos they offer complete ease of movement off road and are extremely comfortable, 100% waterproof, VERY cool in summer (huge vents front and back) and very well made so suffer off and on road abuse.

And, most importantly, they fit over the top of MX boots very easily; trousers inside your boots is such a sad look................

The down side is it won't offer such good crash protection on road.

Most things in life are a compromise. My choice and I'm happy with it :)

PS Rick, it's defo trousers. Trouser is for pedantic twats and pant is for Merkin wankers :thumb
