Looking for a review of the Klim Lattitude jacket. Do any members have them , and if so , what is your opinion ? What is the difference to the Carlsbad jacket ?

I bought a Latitude jacket a few days before Christmas. Based on the video above I purchased from Motolegends. I am jumbo size and went for a 4XL to allow fitment of a down jacket below.
4XL was massive and has been returned for an exchange to a smaller size.
I haven't got to ride with the jacket yet.... but impressions are it's better than my 2 high end Rukka jackets. Cut is very different and boxy which will suit me.
The reviews I read and videos watched gave me the impression that the Lattitude is more suited to mainly on road use and touring. Carlsbad had too many features and didn't justify the extra cost. Just received a down puffer style jacket in the post today which will be my liner and destination jacket when touring.

As stated, haven't got to use it yet, but definitely time for a move away from Rukka.

Mine is the Klim Kodiak - I found moto legends helpful in figuring out what to buy.

I have 2.
Including a brand new one, I got in the Helmet City sale.
As new KLIM jackets are due anytime because of the A rating changes.
I paid £540 down from £860.

Superb jacket, especially the way all the straps work to pull jacket in.
100% waterproof .
If your not off roading, then a cheaper option than the Badlands Goretex Pro & lighter.
One fing I would say is -
With all KLIM gear, you need to learn to layer up.
You will freeze your ass off if you dont.
( don't ask how I know )😪
My new one is 2 sizes bigger than i would normally wear, but as this is my winter jacket I really need to wear plenty of layers & a heated jacket.
But as I've already said- the straps pull in to more than one smaller.

My older Latitude jacket was / is superb.
But I can't layer up as its a much smaller size.
Hence the new one.
Nuts money 4 a jacket, but that's what these cost now.
But £540 was a great saving over the £860.

check out Helmet City website for KLIM reduced prices..
Sportsbikeshop also have reduced prices.

100% happy with my new jacket

I have a number of Klim items all excellent. I bought a Kodiak suit from Rugged Roads at Sway, Hampshire they are excellent.

Recommend trying on for size, American gear tends to be more generous.

I bought one early last year having also purchased a Marrakesh the previous year. The latter has been a fabulous piece of kit and has been worn in temperatures between 5c to 42c with appropriate layers, but obviously I was chilly on the lows and hot on the highs and recognised I needed something more windproof and resilient for the cold/wet days.

So I bought the Latitude..

Cons:
First impressions were that it was quite stiff and covered in zips, lots of pockets (too many?) and air vents. The cuffs were, and still are, quite stiff to fasten, and the super wide trouser bottoms are secured by a series of poppers which leave them looking baggy. The collar is quite low and for me a minus point, I would have preferred a higher one. The zip fly is quite short which translates into it being a bit tight to get your trousers over your hips when you’re trying to get them on, and I don’t have a big arse!

Pros:
A high quality suit, very smart and distinctive, completely waterproof, and well fitting. All the zips are waterproof, and the small zipped wrist pocket is great for the remote key or motorway blipper. Venting is excellent and the pockets in the right place, as long as I can remember which is a vent or a pocket of course. As has been said you have to layer up if it’s cold, there is no warm liner with this suit as opposed to the Kodiac, so I wear a Rab synthetic puffa type jacket underneath on extreme days.

In hindsight (and being an RT rider) perhaps the Kodiac would have been a better choice for me, but I couldn’t justify the cost at that time.
That being said I’m happy with what I have.

Not sure Helmet City sell Klim stuff...

I have a new one and an old one. The old one is better. The new one is short in the arms and the neck collar is too low, forcing you to have to buy the accessory goretex neck collar if you want a warm dry neck. The arm adjustment straps are good on the new one though. The pockets are smaller on the new one too. The forearm area on the new one is stiff and uncomfortable and I'm hoping it's going to break in. Overall, I wish I'd bought a Rukka rather than replace my old latitude with a new latitude, it's just not the same jacket at all.

I have a 2024 version. It's a great jacket. Very comfortable and not too heavy. Personally, I like the lower neck. I also have an original Rukka Nivala and I'd say the Klim is a bit nicer, as it is longer. Initially, it was less comfortable but after some wearing-in, it's becoming just as good.

Well they don't show Klim when I go on there and search?

Forgot to mention, the old latitude was 3 layer goretex, the new one is only 2. I've had a lot of Klim stuff over the years but I wish they would standardise their sizing, which seems a bit random, and also not keep giving completely different outfits the same frigging name!

Your correct, they don't.
Nor does the sister shop in Cheltenham.
But they stock a full range, in both shops.
Trousers, jackets, gloves & all under layers.
