All expedition was 17 days and more than 5500km long. Enduro stage in Russia was 10 day and more than 1500km long.
It was guided enduro tour, with support car usage in Kola peninsula.
Our route was Riga - Helsinki - Rovaniemi - Gamvik - Kirkiness - General hill (off road stage in tundra zone) - Murmansk - Revda - (to top on Lovozerskije Tundri mountains; old geolg road named 1000streems track)- Oktjabrskij - (unpaved mountain road) - Hibini mountains - Umbozerskij mountain pass (trails) - Oktjabrskij - (old unpaved road. Marked in maps, but if you like ride trought, you need well topo maps and orientation skills) - Umba - (gravel road and off road) - Varzuga - Kuzomen (off road in sand desert) - Umba - Kandalaksa - Salla - Helsinki - Riga
Our night stays in Finland an Norwegia was camping huts and hotels. Wee spent our nights in Motel, Hotel (very Russian style) and camping hut and of course in tents when wee was in Kola.
Enduro adventure tour "Nord Quest 2009" will bee next summer too. More adventures. More impressive and more various. It will bee 13 enduro days and more than 1600km. Wee will enjoy Tundra, Word war II time roads, Mountain tracks, Mountain passes, FORDS, Fords and fords, STONES Stones and stones, Arctic desert, Sand desert, Taiga...
Wee will go by moto boats and enjoi tracking. Wee will enjoi how it live in Saami Veza (like a wigvam for living in arctic) and sleep on raindeer skin, wee will spend one night in Tonja (old Pomori fisermen hute). I am sure that it wil bee great challenge.
