It might be quite good .

Some of the Kove 450s did respectably in the Dakar again this year. Not a bad test of a dual purpose bike.

I'm assuming Kove didn't design the 800 twin from the ground up (maybe they did) - is that based on an existing engine?

Isnt it an older KTM 790 produced under licence by CF Moto ? Looks very ktm ish from the side.

I liked it!

But I did like this better. (yes I know it is a prototype).

I read the other day that someone had weighed the Kove 800 at 175kg wet. What a great all round bike IMHO...enough power, way lighter than anything else....Japan take note.....you're going to lose lots of sales to bikes like this unless you get your arse out gear

The article states 169 kgs dry

It does, I'll try to find the article but someone had weighed a fueled up bike at 175kg (dunno which of the 3 models) I aren't going to argue or quibble over a few KGs tho....it'll be way lighter than anything else comparible.

A good video, giving you a bit of insight in to what and where did Kove come from.

Brother in law owned a 70 plate CF Moto 650 for a short time after his Himalayan was stolen , it was based on the Versys engine and had KTM esque styling and was on the face of it a nice enough bike but when he clipped the screen on the side of his storage container the screen mounting brackets snapped . He got replacements but the quality of the hidden bits was poor as were the wiring connectors etc and fixings.

Brackets were so bad a quality aluminum that the old ones could be easily snapped by hand despite being a 25 to 30mm C section with what appeared to be a thick wall thickness.

He quickly got rid and bought a RE interceptor

Does the tester actually speak ? I flicked thru it and all it seems to be is engine note and a ride on a rural road.

Flick to 4.50 where he narrates War and Peace
