Whilst out on the wing last Saturday at Clapham, got talking to a chap who had a broken down Kove off road bike. A new one at that, 24 plate.
His clutch was US.
today, near Ulceby there’s another one at the side of the road with the same fault. I’ve only ever seen 2 and they are both Brokendown. Won’t be buying one of them then.

I recently saw a brand new Honda and it's rider awaiting recovery. Broken chain IIRC. :D

I was out that way today, shame I didn't see you or I could have bought you that brew I owe you.

Rugged Roads are a Kove dealer - they seem to have sold quite a few! Will be interesting to see if there are any niggles with them.

We of a certain age remember when Hondas were in the shit in the eighties with all the cam chain problems .can’t say I remember any other jap firm having well documented faults though . I await to be educated about the other manufacturers .

I’ve been invited by Kove to test their 450 model on an off road trail and to be honest I’m looking forward to it. Build quality isn’t going to be as good as my current enduro bikes but nevertheless I do like the Kove and I’m looking forward to see how it handles 👍

If it's not raining too much tomorrow I'm going out on the local lanes for a bit with a pal with a spanking new Kove 450 Rally. I gave it a fair looking over the other day and it seemed decent enough quality.

It is looking bit on the wet side though, so may well sack it off unfortunately.

Great stuff, let us know what you think.

I like this guys videos. Been following him for a while.

We fitted my mate's hand guards in my garage last w/e and had the same issue he has here. Unfortunately, I didn't have a lathe handy (or a clue how to use one).

I indeed remember it the hard way. My CB900 cam chain broke on the motorway, causing catastrophic damage to the engine.

Hi Steve.
We sell Kove 450 rally and rally Pro in the shop.
I have sold about 60 of them and all the riders are very happy with them.
We offer 12 months warranty for peace of mind any rarely get any problems.
I’m sure if the riders call their dealer they will sort the problem quickly.
You are welcome to come down and examine the bike properly and take one for a test ride, they are built well, we have customers & friends with over 10k miles on them with no issues.
Don’t knock them until you try them.
John.

Now then John.
I’ve just realised who you are.
Heard the stories, are you ok now ?

Hi Steve,
I had a bad bike crash, smashed my leg but had a blood clot on my brain after surgery and had to lean to speak again. My brain is coming back slowly but reading and writing is tricky and I have turned into Forrest Gump with speaking Doh.
I started with Kove about 18 months ago but we struggled to get bikes. They are still difficult to get hold of and I sell all I can get.
You should come over for a coffee and a chat, it would be great to see you mate. I’m open every day 10 till 4
Cheers.

I have many more bikes that are not advertised, not enough hours in the day to get them prepped for sale.

I’ll do that, it’ll be good to see you.

I bought a Kove 450 from John. Got it two weeks ago. All good so far.
I took his test bike out twice. I didn't like the low speed fuelling. The new batch that came into the country in June have a revised ecu map and the fuelling is great.
I wanted a dualsport bike that was fun to ride to the trails and then be over biked for green lanes 🙃 it's ticking all the boxes so far.
