I still haven't bought my pannier inner bags, was thinking about mane event (i had them for my last GSA and they we ok) but i've come across the Kriega KS40's which look quite smart.
They seem to be quite expensive buying from Kriega direct or from a UK stockist, but can get about 40% off them from an EU website i've found.
I know Kriega stuff is usually top notch so the quality will be good, is anyone using / has used these as inner bags for their BMW GSA panniers ? Do they fit well, are they worth the money ???

I've got KS40 bags and imho they are worth the money, they fitted well in my twin cam GSA panniers so no reason they won't fit in the GSA LC panniers.

They're really nice. Still got a pair even though I no longer own any panniers.

Great for a w/e away, or as airline carry ons.

The Kriegas are a perfect fit in the GSA panniers and no more money than the BMW pannier liners - they also open "normally" rather than like a sack.

I too have them and they are a class bit of kit and as recall were cheaper than the BMW bags !
Just a shame Kriega don't do a top box bag to match

I too need some new inner bags. From posts on this thread I like the Kriegas. However the factory BMW ones appear more versatile as they claim to be waterproof (I think?) and you can attached them to the pannier lids via straps if more carrying capacity required?

that is true. the bmw bags are waterproof, and some panniers sometimes leak. i've had two sets, and one set did leak, and one set didn't. they also attach to the pannier lids with supplied straps. i have also used them as hold luggage on aircraft.

i think you can get more in the kriegas. the bmw bags being somewhat bulky with a pretty clumsy closing system that takes up a lot of room.

i had the bmw bags for years, but once i'd bought the kriegas, i never used them again.

I always place my pannier bags in plastic bags inside my panniers just incase

Hey Rossi

Can you post a link to the cheap euro supplier? Been considering a pair also.

Cheers

Rob

Rob, I've just ordered a pair, once they arrive & everything is ok I will send you the link. I won't send it yet as it might all go tits up and I don't want to put you on a bum steer !!!

Good one.
I bought a pair of KS40 this summer. I was a bit unsure since they are quite expensive, but they are worth it. Really good quality, I normally use them to shuffle stuff around even when not on the bike (loading all the crap in the van for the odd trackday, etc.).
And at least you don't have the GS branding as with the BMW ones :D

I'd be interested in the link if all turn out well ;-)

I ordered these on Monday from Italy and the tracking says they are on a UPS Van out for delivery today (Thursday). Hopefully everything will be in order when they arrive but for those interested they are £79 from a UK stockist with no one offering any discounts or freebies. That's £168 for 2 bags, I'm sure I could have wangled free delivery from a UK stockist. I managed to find these in Italy for £46.57 each plus £10.28 delivery, total cost £103.42, that's nearly 40% off for bags that are made about 40 miles down the road from me !!!!
Lets just hope UPS get here soon

I find it amazing too that something made locally (40 miles from me too) can be shipped a couple of thousand miles and still be bought cheaper :(

As a Stockist of said bags I can assure you thats WAY cheaper than I can get them for????

Very Interested to see how this works out.

All worked out fine, bags arrived yesterday.
I don't think they're a great fit for the GSA though, they seem very tight fitting ???

They are a squashy bag, squash them a bit to make them fit that's not difficult is it?
Worth the effort in my opinion for the fact that they pack like a suitcase.

Has anyone tried the Givi Outback bags in the GSA cases? Givi products have really moved on in recent years and the Outback bags look a nice piece of kit.
