I've had a look through the old stuff but can't find an answer to this - anyone tried the KS40 Kriegas in the 1200 GSA panniers?
How good a fit are they?

Cheers

Rich

From reading on here there's no guarantee the alu panniers stay waterproof, plus the aluminium will mark stuff you put in there if it's not in some kind of bag...
I'm sure there are cheaper options, like bin bags, but then I might need something more substantial than that no?
And there was I thinking "do they fit" was a simple question...:augie

A perfect fit for the GSA 1200 panniers. They can get a little snug if filled to capacity but otherwise the bag is excellent. Good capacity and smart enough to use as a briefcase/laptop bag. Unlike a bin bag! I use mine everyday for work.

+1 very nice

Exactly what I was after... thanks! :thumb2

I use these in my Metal Mules, and they are excellent. BTW, the BMW alu panniers are definitely not waterproof, as my mate found out when he unpacked his piss wet through kit after a rainy ride in Slovakia.

Don't think anyone ever claimed the KS40s were waterproof, we use them with Metal Mules though and they're perfect for pulling out of the panniers and walking into a hotel with.

If you insist on camping then Tesco bags are a much cheaper alternative :nenau

Been looking at the Kriega as well... seem really nice and that's the same question I needed answering!

+1 for these. Used them with Touratech Zegas to replace the cheap but crap Touratech liners and now with GSA panniers on new bike. As with all Kriega kit they are very well made and great design.

they have a second zip which allows you to adjust for width

Actually they have a second AND third zip so they can be adjusted for three different sizes of pannier.

Thanks guys, it's good to know that these bags fits to BMW aluminum panniers. So, have additional question:

Is there a moto shop in central London where I can buy, or pre-order two Kriega bags. A friend of mine will be in London January 18-25, but very busy - so looking for reliable shop.

Thanks and cheers,
