Hi All, looking for some advice on the above.

Have the bike about a year and a suspension fault has shown on the dash. I want to know if there are any diagnostic tools that can read the info on the bike to get an idea of the issue? I tried an amazon job recommended (with an adaptor) but this will not connect to the bike.

Any help appreciated.

Has you battery got drained recently?
If so then it is a KTM dealer job (at least it was for me) as electronic rear shock had to be recalibrated.

No not at all. I put it on trickle charger now and again but never not started.

My experience was that they are very sensitive to the slightest voltage drop. I had two warning lights before I bit the bullet and bought a trickle charger. Never had any further issues after that.

mine does live with it plugged in permanently when in the garage since the battery voltage drop caused me an issue.

Will put it on trickle charge again tonight and see what tomorrow brings. If not off to the dealer at the weekend.

Thanks all 👍

Update...

Brought bike into KTM dealer to put on their diagnostic.

They claimed rear shock was buggered and would only replace it as they do not diagnose/repair suspension outside of warranty.

Additionally, what I thought was suspension issue at front (clicking when moving bike) turned out to be front wheel bearings.
(Quite badly worn on RHS)

Bike is now with a suspension guru over here and fellow KTMer.
Called today regarding update and they cleared codes and then immediately returned.

They also saw voltage drop error but they did a battery test and it was perfect.

Will get the rear physical suspension parts serviced anyway and fingers crossed they have identified issue.

Will see about front suspension service after I get the phonecall 😬

My 1290 was manual adjustment however Ive seen it loads of times on the S due to the voltage which they seem very sensitive to drops. I had all sorts of warnings until I replaced my battery and if by magic they disappeared after a few battery cycles

I may thrown in a new battery anyway if they dont do it themselves coming into winter

Bike suspension fully rebuilt front and back by independent suspension crew.

Bike works perfectly once codes are cleared.

Turn off Bike and then on and Bike performs self check and throws up error.

Actuator disabling capacity

I think KTM need to take it back and reset suspension back to "zero" and run through set up again.

Cost so far not as bad as I thought.

So after a further 2 hours the problem has been narrowed down to a Suspension control unit. Which is circa £600 to replace - Gulp...

Potentially could have got a new shock for the cost of work done so far.

Secondhand it may be. Easily reached so can replace myself but maybe for next years season.

Bike works as is on rider only preload (Thank god)
