For Sale Ktm 1290 Superduke 16 plate

For sale on behalf of a good friend and been in storage in my garage on optimate since December.
Bike has 20k miles. Ktm service history. Akropovic exhaust. Near brand new Michelin 6s and factory heated grips. Also has crash bungs. Was purchased new by his brother who owned it until May last year. Bike has also had recent battery.
He’s emigrating to Asia and I have paperwork and keys etc for the bike.
He’s looking for £6k.
Genuine, non abused bike that is a blast to ride. Be a good buy for someone wanting one of these.

Yes, the original owner (who sold it to his brother) actually traded it in for a new 1390 version of the same bike and after the novelty wore off he said it’s hardly any different from the old one. It’s a pretty good price i think for a bike with known history and some nice extras. Probably £350 worth of new tyres on it too.

Thought it worth pointing out that the bike has surface dirt in the pics. It’s been sat under a cover for quite a few months (with 99 octane petrol plus additive and a trickle charger connected). I would say it’s in fantastic condition as the wheels are a nice gloss black when i wiped away the dirt with my finger.
It started up immediately on the button today when I took these pics.

Yes that C90 is owned by the same friend. Has 13k on it and runs like a dream. He was going to ask me to sell it for him as well as the Superduke but it’s possibly now going to a family member. Not sure.

Time to reduce asking price and get this bike gone from my garage. How about £5k or offers?
It’s got 12m mot. Had the rear wheel breaking modification done. New chain and sprockets. Excellent tyres. It’s had more services than required by a Ktm technician using genuine parts and oils (not stamped service book) apart from the valve service at 18k. This will need doing or take a chance. Up to you I guess.
Bike has 2 keys plus orange key, wallet etc.
Got to be a good buy for someone?

I was thinking of selling my 1290GT later in the summer but probably not worth it if you can’t get £5k for that little cracker.

Yeah that's too little for that bike, it's too low, I think it's a cracker.
It's so odd that the bike market is at this point as there's the same number of reasonably wealthy people who could buy that now as there ever was, there's probably more people doing well actually than ever, so I don't believe it's because money is tight generally. I think it's more complicated. But that doesn't help you if they're not buying bikes.

Definitely not but get an awkward MOT tester and they would fail the bike as it is shown in photos 1 & 3
