Hi
After growing tired of everyone wanting GS's
and selling my last Oilhead a few years ago I have been trying a bit of variety...
At the mo I have K2 1000 VStrom which is widely underrated and with a bit of a set up is a very good bike... And tons of bike for the money... I do like V twins after all that "sticky out" stuff of GS's and even the big ones feel small next to the lardy GS...
So what has hit the radar after years of ignoring them is the KTM 950/990... The 950's seem to be rated rally high as they have carbs and sound to be better overall "riders" bikes... So how are they compared to lets say a 12GS or my Vstrom as an allround bike... I would still do much of the riding on road but they do sound like offroad is possible/probably as they are better equipped for it...
I have to say I like what I read elsewhere as they seem more reliable that I thought and with a few small changes pretty good for distance... I like the sound of them as they can bring the inner hooligan out of you as with the VStrom, and the GS's don't really do that... And there is no better compliment of a bike like this that leaving you with a wicked grin at the end of a ride...
So what's the general say of the people "that know..."
