KTM 950 SE Adventure

Those feckin robbers at Touratech want £887.96 for the Safari Tank - :tosser

Twats.

UK importer is Core Racing

Infact I've just spoken to Alec, who runs Core about something else and he said that Bracken stock the tanks,as he keeps them supplied.

Got mine from them via Core as well.

£600 inc VAT to you boys that pay such things.

......well it is now it has a 250+ mile range.

Has no one noticed the irony of this post????

He now has a range of 250+ miles..........................................................

And he lives on Guernsey!!!!!!!!!!! :hide

How tall do you have to be to go on this ride?

I'm 6'1" with a 33" inside leg and I can get balls of both feet down.

It's certainly a bit taller than my GSA,with that seat on high setting.

Crikey,that's a new one.

Ha bloody ha,sheep shagger.

France is just a 90 minute hop away by fast ferry.

Went 5 times last year.

Already got 4 trips booked for 2009 including a week over Pyrenees on GSA and 10 days on SE joining Magnum and co on this little beauty.(Plus a quick trip to the Le Mans MotoGP on my Honda amongst others)

Certainly beats Barry Island.

Tidy !!

Black ?

Pretty straight forward to fit with good instructions.

Fitting the brace was the fiddliest bit as I could have done with another pair of helping hands.

Hard luggage

Is it your choice to not have hard luggage or is it that you just cant get it for this bike? Its a great bike and you keep it looking great, like you i do all my riding on the road but just like the look of big trailies, and they make fantastic touring bikes.:Motomartin

You can get zega ally panniers to fit,I believe, but I think it ruins the look of the bike and would certainly fcuk up the handling and lightness.

Also,I've seen over on Advrider of some problems with rear subframes cracking with overloaded bikes-admittedly then ridden hard offroad.

But I've got that Kaoka tail bag as seen in pic above, plus a 30 litre dry bag that bungees to it.

Should be plenty for a week or so away.

Cool, what about chain tension, when you tour on it do you have to make chain adjustments often?I hooned around France a few years back for a week and i seemed to always be messing with the chain on my Africa Twin?:Motomartin

Not toured much yet,as only been on a quick 600 mile trip to run it in.

Otherwise only used it locally.

Will certainly find out this year though !!

Enjoy

Well enjoy it buddy,it looks great and im sure you,ll have a big grin on your face tearing up those roads in europe 09....:Motomartin

Scorpions are great-same fiment as the OE tyre on KTM Adventures.

Have only done 1200 miles on this one but they should be good for 5000 or so,which is what my Adv 950 did.

Renazco seat finally pitched up this week while I was away.

Profile is a fair bit different to standard.

James Renazco asked me what I wanted it for and I said 90% onroad and he took height/weight/leg measurements to produce this :

Went for quick ride and it feels completely different.

Seat is firm and a fair bit wider.

It's no taller but the extra spread means tip toes more than before.

Great quality and very pleased with it.

Just need to pick up my Andystrapz Expedition Panniers in Oz in a couple of weeks and then I can put the whole lot on ebay.

Only joking.

I think this one's a keeper.
