KTM 950SM - no problems at all

Just thought I'd let you know that after nearly 2 years my KTM 950SM is performing superbly and has had no problems whatsoever.

Additionally, it happens to be the most exciting and fun bike that I've ever ridden, and can commute, do 600-mile days and obliterate everything else in the Alps.

I loved mine but got fed up with the carbs getting blocked with some odd white stuff ,and the starter sprag breaking.Chopped it in after 3 years for the 990SM which had awfull fueling ,which I could not ride round in the wet.Shame as I thought it was the only bike I would need. Px'd it for my current GSA which is great. When they get the EFI right I'll be straight on one again,glad to hear yous has been trouble free

Yeah the 990 is snatchy compared to the 950. I love the carbs on my 950 - no white gunk thankfully and no starter probs but I know several who have.

Same seat, same Pirelli tyres as original. For luggage I use a KTM 45 top box and a tailpack on the seat. Sorted.

Good size, cheap and fits on the mounting plate that KTM sells. In fact - SHAD make the top box for KTM original - this just looks better and is cheaper.
