Just thought I'd let you know that after nearly 2 years my KTM 950SM is performing superbly and has had no problems whatsoever.

Additionally, it happens to be the most exciting and fun bike that I've ever ridden, and can commute, do 600-mile days and obliterate everything else in the Alps.

good to hear it:thumb2

i did 15k in less than a year on my 990 with one minor leccy fault, great bike:thumb2

What do use for luggage? Have you changed the seat? What tyres do you use? cheers.

I loved mine but got fed up with the carbs getting blocked with some odd white stuff ,and the starter sprag breaking.Chopped it in after 3 years for the 990SM which had awfull fueling ,which I could not ride round in the wet.Shame as I thought it was the only bike I would need. Px'd it for my current GSA which is great. When they get the EFI right I'll be straight on one again, glad to hear yous has been trouble free:thumb2

Yeah the 990 is snatchy compared to the 950. I love the carbs on my 950 - no white gunk thankfully and no starter probs but I know several who have.

Same seat, same Pirelli tyres as original. For luggage I use a KTM 45 top box and a tailpack on the seat. Sorted.

Apart from a 950SE
