Sorry cant send fiver as semi retired meself but wife won't retire the credit card! :fiddle

If it gets cold this winter I intend to fire the 1190 up in the living room - apparently they get really, really hot. :D

Thanks for the photos and write up Davey.. very tempted to buy also.. I'm getting heated grips and bashplate fitted next week.. will have to let my credit card cool off for a while after that :)

Looks great
Seat look great too , is it any better

Thanks and yes, the comfort seat is better than stock. It's not Sargent comfy, but I can get near 300 miles before the wriggles start. I'll know even better tomorrow as I have a planned trip over to Scotland hoping to visit Schtum.

Say hello to the silly old sod from me, and tell him to stay off the bloody stairs if he can't manage to get down them in one piece in future! :D

Thinking about getting a shorty version. Just out of interest, is it "E" marked as street legal?

Third pic down, badge in it's own little packet. That's the badge for the pipe. You can decide if you want it on or off. I chose off, but can put it on at a later date should the notion take me.
That is really good, I have never liked the fact that most after market pipes come with the badge already fitted.

No, there is no E mark, so strictly not road legal. However, there are no markings at all, ie not for road use. That's good enough for me. :D

I really like the shorty Wings can, but with no E mark do you run risk of over zealous continental police types hitting you with fines or worse? How long until MOTs will demand the presence of such compliance marks given our splicing with the United States of Europe? Hopefully Wings will get certified, so to speak, in the near future...

The MOT test regulation were changed a few years ago, so that neither E-marks or BS AU193 stamps are required on motorcycle exhaust systems. The test is now that the exhaust should not, in the testers opinion, be louder than a standard exhaust system, in good condition, on the same motorcycle. However, the requirement for E-marks or BS AU193 remains as part of Construction and Use Regulations. So you can, in theory pass and MOT test, ride out onto the road and be nicked there and then for an illegal exhaust. Go figure.....

I've sent an email to Wings enquiring about the cost/wait time for a Shorty posted to the UK, but haven't had a reply. Does anyone know if the company is closed for a summer holiday or something similar? Or does it just take a while for them to reply?

Gorazd replied very quickly when I enquired about the price and again when I ordered one, so it does seem possible that they are on holiday.

It's alright - he's replied. It seems as though the email on the Wings website might be wrong. Found the right email on another thread on this forum though.
